San Jose – Day 5

The first sign of morning to the east as we sat on our deck just after 6am. A cloudy, windy morning which cleared a little during the day with temperatures reaching about 27C. Today was race day with the 5k, 10k and 21k (half marathon) starting around 7am. Start and finish was the main plaza and part of the course was on the road right below our condo. We walked into town around 7:45am as the runners went by and then waited at the finish for the leaders of the 21k. The winning male runner came in around 8:20 with the first female around 8:30. Around 9am we headed across to Jazmin’s restaurant for breakfast. Back at the condo by 10:30am. Late morning I went along to the beach area and walked on the sand for a while. Got my feet wet! Around 4pm we headed to Taba BBQ just below us for the Superbowl. Watched the game along with a full house. Around 8pm we went for a final walk into town and back.
