San Jose – Day 4

A cloudy start to the day but eventually turning sunny during the afternoon with temperatures around 27C. We set off to walk to the estuary around 9am and were able see many different birds out on the water but hard to make definite identifications on many of them. A group of bird watchers on the river bank with their large binoculars and cameras. Confronted by a cow on the path who seemed to have been separated from the rest of the herd. Back to the condo after about 1 hour. Out again around 11am and walked into town. There is a 5K, 10k and 21k races tomorrow. Today in the plaza was the package pickup for the runners. Visited the church. In the evening we walked to Fiorenza restaurant for dinner served by Diego. Several groups celebrating birthdays and weddings. Entertainment was a lady singer. Walked to the plaza after dinner where there were market stalls and music from the stage. The crowd enjoying dancing to the music.
